We Love Appraisers

Appraisers helping appraisers.

The AppraiserGuy Network is built around a simple idea: independent appraisers are stronger when they have a place to learn from each other, share what is working, talk through what is not, and have a little fun along the way.

Join for $1/month. Let's keep it a buck. The community lives on Skool: discussions, a classroom, and a calendar for our monthly Zoom call.

The network

Join for $1/month. Belonging means something.

This is not a paywall disguised as a community. Let's keep it a buck: the AppraiserGuy Network is $1/month for licensed and certified appraisers who understand the vision.

To join the list

  • Your appraiser license or certification is active.
  • You understand the goal is fellowship, collaboration, education, and community.
  • You are willing to interact like a professional, even when appraisers disagree.
  • You are comfortable being part of something that takes the work seriously without taking itself too seriously.

The Approved Appraiser Directory

Approved members can have their name included in the AppraiserGuy Network directory. The listing can link to your website, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, or other professional pages so other appraisers can find you, follow you, learn from you, and refer work when appropriate.

That also reinforces one of the first lessons in AppraiserGuy 101: build a digital footprint that makes you easy to find, recognize, and trust.

How it works

  1. Join on SkoolJoin for $1/month and confirm your active license or certification.
  2. Introduce yourselfWhere you work, what you appraise, and what you want to get better at.
  3. Jump into the conversationPost a tough comp, ask a real question, or share a process that works.
  4. Hit the classroomWork through courses on running your business and building your digital footprint.
  5. Show up to the monthly ZoomIt's on the Skool calendar.

The clubhouse

The monthly Zoom call.

This should be one of the most valuable parts of the network, and it's included in the $1 membership. Appraisers talking to appraisers:

  • What are you seeing in your market?
  • What are clients asking for?
  • What is working right now?
  • What is changing in the profession?
  • What problem are you trying to solve?
  • What was the coolest win from last month?

Current events from an actual appraiser's perspective. Not a giant AMC speaking for us. Not a billion-dollar company explaining what it thinks our profession needs.

The origin of the swing

People wanted to watch because it felt different.

Happy Gilmore was not traditional golf. That was the point. He brought energy, personality, competition, and a little chaos to something people were used to seeing one way.

"Step right up, folks, to see the amazing golf-ball whacker guy."

Appraising and golf have a lot in common. Both are serious. Both are old. Both can feel like they want your money and you still won't ever feel part of the club. Golf has evolved. It has become more welcoming, more social, and more modern. It's time appraising does the same.

A swing is a try

  • Build the website. Take a swing.
  • Call the attorney. Take a swing.
  • Post on LinkedIn. Take a swing.
  • Teach a class. Take a swing.
  • Apply for the panel. Take a swing.
  • Reach out to another appraiser. Take a swing.

Let's see how far we can drive this thing.

The culture

What we want this place to feel like.

A network is only as good as the way people treat one another inside it. This should feel more like an open clubhouse than a closed club.

1. Share what works

If you found a better process, marketing idea, tool, or client strategy, bring it to the group.

2. Ask real questions

Nobody needs to pretend they already know everything. The whole point is to get better.

3. Disagree like a pro

Good appraisers will see things differently. Challenge ideas without tearing down people.

4. Give credit

If somebody helps you, teaches you, or shares a great idea, recognize them.

5. Take swings

Try things. Report back. Keep what works. Laugh about what does not. Then take another swing.

The model

The community is $1/month. Let's keep it a buck. Some extra tools may cost more. Anything paid should help an appraiser go further, faster, or deeper. It should never be the price of admission to the community itself.

If the $1 membership is not valuable on its own, we are doing it wrong.

FAQ

Questions before you tee up

Who is the AG Network for?

Licensed and certified real estate appraisers who want fellowship, collaboration, education, and community. Trainees who want to learn from experienced appraisers are welcome too.

Where does the community live?

On Skool. That's where you'll find the discussion feed, the classroom with our courses, and the calendar for the monthly Zoom call.

Does it cost anything?

Membership is $1/month. Let's keep it a buck. It includes the community, the classroom courses, and the monthly Zoom call. Some deeper resources, like classes, templates, guides, and live events, may have a cost. Anything paid should help you go further, faster, or deeper. A buck is the only price of admission.

Do you talk about fees and AMCs?

Yes, as education and support: understanding engagements, workflow, and running a healthy business. The network doesn't set, recommend, or coordinate fees. Every appraiser makes their own pricing decisions independently.

Can I share assignment details?

Talk through approaches, not confidential client information. Respect USPAP confidentiality and leave out anything that identifies a client or borrower.

What is the Approved Appraiser Directory?

Approved members can be listed with links to their website and social profiles so other appraisers can find, follow, and refer work when appropriate.

We do not need to know where it lands before we swing.
